It’s Cincy AI Week here in the Queen City! Over 1,000 people have come together for the largest Midwest A.I. conference, and you can feel the excitement in the air.

Today is the last of my back-to-back speaking engagements, and after Summit Detroit and yesterday’s Cincy AI Week presentation, I couldn’t be more excited to join Dr. Flavia Bastos on stage this afternoon at AFTACON 2025 to discuss the Imagination Age, A.I., and the civic impact of the arts.
In my talks, on my podcast, and in this newsletter, I advocate for Responsible A.I. development — specifically, verifying and validating A.I. products before releasing them to us as beta testers of this new, powerful technology. We don’t fully understand all of the downsides of A.I. yet, so we need to take appropriate precautions.
I’m a big believer in breaking the binary narrative coming from Silicon Valley, which suggests that we can have progress or safety, but not both. The two can coexist. Risk doesn't preclude progress — it just requires a level of investment proportionate to the risk.
We shared this Rolling Stone article a few weeks ago, and it’s one of many articles that highlight some of the harms of A.I. as People Are Losing Loved Ones to AI-Fueled Spiritual Fantasies.
I’m proud to say that Cincinnati is championing Responsible A.I. and is home to a global leader on the subject: Dr. Kelly Cohen. Not only is he a Creativity Squared guest and our CincyAI for Humans Organizing Partner, but he’s also the President of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society (NAFIPS). At the University of Cincinnati, he’s the Brian H. Rowe Endowed Chair at the Department of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Mechanics and the Director of the AI Bio Lab at Digital Futures.
Dr. Cohen has utilized explainable A.I. using genetic fuzzy logic-based machine learning algorithms for control and decision-making applications in the area of autonomous collaborating robotics as well as predictive modeling for personalizing medical treatment in neurological disorders. His latest TEDx talk (embedded below) is a must-watch to understand the critical need for Responsible A.I. development:

Creativity Squared interviewed Will live at the FilmGate Miami Interactive Festival XI, one of the top ten immersive festivals in the world! You’ll hear why it’s so special from the festival’s Head Curator, Co-Founder, and Executive Producer, Diliana Alexander.
On opening night, the FilmGate Miami audience got a preview of the “BBL Drizzy Musical Dome Experience”. Next year, Creativity Squared will be back to see the full production and host another time capsule conversation with Will.
Once you check out the interview, you’ll know that Will is just scratching the surface of what’s possible — he’s ahead of the entertainment industries, and is definitely one to follow!
